1. Believe in yourself and your voice.
Singing is 90% psychological and 10% talent, so it
means if your mind is always telling you negative things about yourself or your
voice, it will be difficult to learn and improve in your singing. So, work on
your mind, learn to believe in yourself, people are achieving excellence in their
voice, why can't you achieve same in your voice? Great and excellent singers
are made with believe in themselves and sacrifice, they were not born with the
voice.
2. Practice Consistently.
Allot of singers lack the ability to practice
regularly that's why they don't see results in their voice. Avoid laziness because
I know you are engaged with allot of activities and you use that as an excuse
not to practice. The less you give time to the growth of your voice the less
results you see, the more you give time to the growth of your voice the more
results you see.
3. Learn to score songs.
Scoring songs is the ability to sing exactly what an
artist did in a particular song. So, I worked with a principle; it's either I
do the song exactly or I do the song More than the original writer of the song.
Don't listen to a song and do a less standard of the song all in the name of
your own style no. Scoring of songs will open your mind to a lot of excellence
and even sharpen your ears to sound.
1. Your tone is special and unique.
It's obvious a lot of people don't like their tone,
instead they copy other people's tone losing their own unique tone. You see
them copying another person's style of singing instead of building their own.
Please learn to love your tone and admire it to the core, keep building it because
it will make you stand out anywhere and anytime.
2. Get a vocal coach to help you.
Not everyone will have the ability to teach themselves
how to sing well, that's why you need a vocal coach. Avoid random YouTube
videos all in the name of practice, you will find yourself practicing many
things without seeing any improvement.
