SEEK GOD WHILE HE MAY BE FOUND

 

Isaiah 55:5-10

5.Behold, you shall call a nation that you do not know, and a nation that did not know you shall run to you, because of the Lord your God, and of the Holy One of Israel, for he has glorified you.
6“Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near;
7 let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
8. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord.
9. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
10 “For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater. Amen

  

When you have the spirit of God in you, you will go to places you don’t deserve. People will run to you for answers because they have seen the light (Christ) in you.

People will come and seek information from you not because you are beautiful, handsome, knowledgeable or full of wisdom, but because the Lord your God has glorified you.

According to the Oxford dictionary, SEEK means attempt to find or attempt to obtain or do (search for and find someone or something).

God is saying in the verse 6 that we should look, desire, hunger, seek for himuntil he is found. Which means baptism alone does not guarantee that you seek him. The more you look or seek for God after baptism, the more his grace, power, anointing and presence comes upon you.

Isaiah 55:6 “Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near;

The more you seek God, the more you will get to know him better or he will reveal himself to you and when you call upon him, he will not disappoint you.

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

The plans of God concerning your life are not your plans and his ways are not your way. Whatever the Lord has plan for your life, that is the only thing that will come to fulfillment. No matter what you do, his thoughts and his ways will always manifest.

Anytime you seek God in truth and in spirit, his will concerning your life will always come to fruition. You must depend on him always because his thoughts are higher than yours likewise his ways.

Seek the Lord until he is found according to his word.

 

WAYS TO SEEK GOD

1.    Seek him in truth and in spirit

2.    Allow him to teach you his ways and his will

3.    Pray earnestly for his presence

4.    Hunger for him always

5.    Do away with your wicked ways and thoughts
